Frostwyrms and Shadowmourne and Beta Testing, Oh My!
Things have been pretty exciting for TV lately. We've been making steady progress through the heroic modes of 25-man Icecrown Citadel and have completed all but the heroic Lich King enounter in 10-man. On June 6th, we got our first set of Bloodbathed Frostbound Vanquisher mounts and our second set on June 19th. If that's not exciting enough for you, we got our very first Shadowmourne completed for Alista as well!
As you all know, The Ruby Sanctum was opened this week and we've already taken down Halion on 25-man normal mode. In addition, Blizzard announced the official start of the closed beta of Cataclysm, which a handful of our guild members will be participating in. If you wish to contact us or play with us on the beta servers, we'll be on the Lost Isles PVE realm in the guild "Valiant of Silver Hand". Hope to see you there!

The Lich King Has Been Defeated!
On May 6th, 2010, The Valiant defeated The Lich King in 25 player mode at last, earning players the Fall of the Lich King (25 Player) and The Frozen Throne (25 Player) achievements. Congratulations to everyone on their hard work and success! Next we'll be working on continuing with 10 player heroic modes (we defeated the 10 man Lich King encounter for the first time in March) to get Frostwyrm mounts, and of course try our hands at 25 man heroic as well.

A New Year in Icecrown Citadel
Happy New Year, folks! I'm sorry to make you wait so long for an update. I hope everyone had a great holiday season, both in and out of WoW. As you know, Icecrown Citadel was released before Christmas. We're going to fight the Lich King at last! The Valiant has been making steady progress through the dungeon on both 10 and 25 man versions and learning new content has been a blast. I know you're all as excited to fight Arthas as I am. (Okay, I lied a bit; I'm probably the most excited about Sindragosa.) Hopefully not too far in the distant future, Alista will be the proud owner of our first legendary axe, Shadowmourne.
I realize it's a bit late for this, but I figured I'd share it anyway (a bit of shameless self promotion doesn't hurt, right?). Check out the WoW-themed Christmas Card I made for Blizzard's 2009 Holiday Card Contest here on deviantArt. It even got an honorable mention. Hoo-yeah!

Completing More Trials...
While we're all waiting for Icecrown, we've been working diligently to complete some of the more challenging 10 man achievements. Just recently our first group of 10 players scored the "Tribute to Mad Insanity" achievement, for which you must slay Anub'arak on hard mode with zero wipes. Cosain won our first Swift Alliance Steed and the first tribute cloak went to Darmuth. Congratulations to them, and of course to everyone in the group who worked so hard to get this achievement!
A shout-out also must be made for everyone who put forth the time, effort and determination that made us able to complete Glory of the Ulduar Raider (10 man) last night, which is normally a night we reserve for 25 man raiding. All 10 raid members got at least 4 achievements upon defeating Yogg'Saron with 1 watcher up, thus spamming raid chat with over 40 achievements and obtaining 10 very cool new Rusted Proto-Drake mounts. Rock on, you guys! Here's a screenshot provided by Austin.
Let's keep up the great work when Icecrown comes out, and in the meantime, I hope everyone has a fantastic holiday season both in and out of game. TTFN!

A Legendary Weapon
On Thursday, the 8th of October, 2009, The Valiant acquired its first Val'anyr, Hammer of the Ancient Kings by defeating Yogg'Saron with 3 watchers. The deserving recipient of this legendary weapon was none other than the lovely lady Airian, who has been one of the guild's most dedicated priests for as long as any one person could remember. She has been collecting the fragments of Val'anyr since around the week Ulduar hit live servers, so it has been a long time coming, and I can't think of anyone more deserving. Congratulations Airian, and thank you to everyone for your hard work in assisting her in creating this weapon!

Yogg-Saron Defeated
Over the summer we've spent a lot of time in Ulduar, devoting several nights a week to Heroic mode and several to Normal mode. We've now defeated every boss in 10 and 25 man Ulduar (Algalon and a number of hard modes notwithstanding.) Our continuing goal will be to complete Glory of the Ulduar raider, gear everyone up and take down Algalon while we wait for Patch 3.2 to hit. Thank you to everyone for all of your hard work, determination and patience through every encounter!
In other news, I've taken the liberty of adding a gallery to the website. Please take a look through the albums, and if you wish to add your own images (screenshots, fanart or whatever else), you can register for an account and upload them at your leisure. Enjoy... and good luck in all of your adventures!

The Journey into Ulduar
Since the introduction of patch 3.1, we've been steadily plowing our way through Ulduar. We've killed Flame Leviathan, Razorscale, Deconstructor, Ignis, Assembly of Iron, Kologarn, Auriaya, Freya, Hodir and of course, Emalon (the newest addition to Vault of Archavon). You can view our most up-to-date boss kills by checking out the Progression page, which is a part of our brand new DKP website. Also, be sure to check out the Gallery for some fantastic Ulduar screenshots taken by Austin.

Glory of the Raider: Complete!
On the evening of April 8th, 2009, a handful of The Valiant raiders finally conquered Wrath of the Lich King's most challenging raid encounter thus far; Sarth3D-10 and acquired the title "of the Nightfall"! This was also the final achievement needed for them to complete the Glory of the Raider meta achievement, for which they were awarded the Plagued Proto-Drake mount. Check out the gallery for screenshots!

Conquering 'Wrath of the Lich King' one achievement at a time!
Wrath of the Lich King has been a wild ride for The Valiant so far. At the time of my writing, the guild has essentially conquered all 10 and 25 man content, including Naxxramas, Obsidian Sanctum, The Eye of Eternity and of course Vault of Archavon. We are now working on finishing up on the last bits of the Glory of the Raider achievements, and we're only one death-free Naxx25 run away from getting our first Black Proto-drakes! In the meantime, we're also getting psyched up for the exciting journey into Ulduar in patch 3.1. See you all there!
