What is the Collection in Valiant?

The Collection is your account's permanent record of everything you have ever discovered: legendaries, artifacts, companion species, and companion passives. It is append-only, so a discovery is recorded the moment you hold something for the first time and stays recorded forever.

Do I lose a discovery if I sell the item?

No. Discovery means your account has ever held it. Selling a legendary, releasing a companion, or deleting the character who found it does not remove the entry - the record survives everything.

Does it matter how I got an item?

Not for the record. A legendary bought on the market counts the same as one you found yourself. The Collection does show where each discovery came from, and which character made it, but it never filters an entry out for being purchased rather than earned.

The Collection

The Collection is your account's permanent record of everything it has ever discovered, kept across four shelves. It is append-only: once something is written there, nothing can remove it.

How discovery works

Ever-held counts. The moment an item enters your account, or a companion of a new species bonds to you, or a companion rolls a passive you have never seen, it is written to the ledger.
Nothing removes it. Sell the item, release the bond, delete the character — the entry stays. This is deliberate: the Collection is a history, not an inventory.
Account-wide. All your characters contribute to one shared record.
Provenance is shown, never judged. Each entry records which character found it and where it came from. Market purchases count the same as drops.

Tip

Because market purchases count, the Collection is a genuine long-game goal for a wealthy trader as much as a hunter. Filling the shelves is one of the few ambitions in Valiant that gold can legitimately accelerate.

Collection deeds

Filling shelves is worth real progress. The Chronicle family of deeds is built almost entirely on the Collection, and it holds some of the biggest prizes in the game:

There are also per-tier relic sets (the legendaries of the Tier 1 through Tier 4 zones) and per-tier codex sets, so there is meaningful progress long before the completionist deeds land.
