Valiant

Gold, Market & Diamonds

Gold is the everyday currency — earned from combat, spent on upgrades, gambling, and the player market. Diamonds are premium, but they only buy convenience (character slots and stash tabs), never power. Valiant is not pay-to-win.

Gold

You earn gold every combat tick and by selling unwanted items to the merchant. It flows back out through item upgrades (via Refined Ore), the gambling merchant, and eventually respec costs after launch. It's the currency you'll always want more of.

The player market

List rolled items for other players to buy. Listings run up to 7 days, and the seller keeps 100% of the sale — no fees, no tax. Because items roll unique stats, the market is a real economy: a perfectly-rolled Rare can be worth more than a mediocre Legendary. One class, the Artisan, is built to play that economy.

The gambling merchant

Feeling lucky? Pay 500 gold × your tier, pick an equipment slot, and receive a random-rarity item for it:

The Descent's vendor, The Keeper, works similarly but takes Sigils and has much better odds — see The Descent.

Diamonds — and why they aren't pay-to-win

Diamonds are Valiant's premium currency, and the design line is strict: they buy convenience, never power. You can spend them on:

  • Extra character slots — room for more heroes.
  • Extra stash tabs — more storage for your hoard.

That's it. There is no diamond path to gear, gold, XP, or combat power. You earn diamonds through referrals (a friend who joins with your link nets you diamonds once they reach level 10, and they get a welcome bonus), or you can buy them — but a free player is never at a competitive disadvantage.

Note

Diamond purchases are rolling out across platforms, so the in-app store may show some options as "coming soon." Referral diamonds are available in the meantime.
