Getting Started
1. Create your character
Pick one of Valiant's 7 classes, choose an avatar, and name your hero. Every class solos the early game comfortably, so choose on flavor — you'll settle into a defined role (and one of two specializations) at level 20. Your account can hold multiple characters, and the idle loop runs them all in parallel, so your first character won't be your last.
2. Win your First Skirmish
The moment your character exists, you fight a scripted, guaranteed first battle. It grants +500 XP, +50 gold, and a starter Iron Gorget (a neck item) so you have something to equip right away. Do equip it — learning the gear screen now pays off fast.
3. Deploy an expedition
This is the core loop. Send your character to a zone for a duration you choose, from 15 minutes up to 8 hours (in 15-minute steps). The world resolves in 15-minute ticks — fighting, earning XP and gold, and banking loot — whether the tab is open or not. When it's done (or whenever you return), collect to claim everything and read your battle report.
Tip
4. Claim your Daily Training
Once per day you can claim Daily Training — a free 8-hour burst of XP at your current level, in a single tap. It resets at midnight UTC. It's pure XP (no loot), and it's the single best habit for climbing toward level 20.
5. The Road to 20
Level 20 is the milestone that turns your class into an identity:
- From level 1 you earn 3 attribute points per level to spend on your six attributes.
- At level 20 you choose your specialization (1 of 2 for your class) and your talents unlock. This is a lasting choice — it defines your role and your build.
Note
Where to go next
Once you're rolling: equip upgrades (watch for the green Fit Score arrow), bond a companion when one offers to join you, run the daily Descent dungeon, and — once you've grouped with enough players — join or found a guild.
